Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and five others have been moved to general barracks of the Arthur Road jail in Mumbai after their quarantine period ended, according to reports. Aryan has been designated ‘Undertrial Number N956’ after he was shifted to the general barracks. The 23-year-old was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 3 during a raid on a cruise ship off Mumbai coast on its way to Goa. A special court on Thursday reserved its order in Aryan’s bail plea for October 20. The 23-year-old will now stay in jail for at least six more days. Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and five others arrested in a drug seizure case have been now shifted to general barracks of the Arthur Road prison here as their quarantine period was over, an official said on Thursday. Aryan, along with other accused, was moved to the Arthur Road jail in central Mumbai after their initial custodial remand with the NCB ended and a magistrate court sent them in judicial custody while denying bail. In the jail, they were kept in quarantine barracks for seven days. The quarantine period ended on Wednesday.All of them were subjected to RT-PCR tests for coronavirus on Wednesday morning, and as the results were negative, they were separated from each other and shifted to various general barracks, a PTI report said.According to recent reports, Aryan has also received a money order of Rs 4,500 in Arthur Road jail from his family on October 11, which is meant for his expenses in the jail canteen, ANI reported quoting jail superintendent Nitin Waychal. Earlier reports had said that SRK’s son wasn’t eating the prison food and was solely surviving on biscuits from the jail’s canteen. As per the jail rules, a prisoner can receive a money order of Rs 4,500 maximum for their expenses inside the jail.The NCB is currently probing a drugs case after a raid was conducted based on a tip-off that a rave party was scheduled on the Goa-bound Cordelia cruise on October 2 evening. The anti-drugs agency allegedly seized drugs from the bust and several persons including Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha were arrested.The central agency has so far arrested 20 people in the matter.
